CULINARY DEMONSTRATIONS

On Friday and Saturday morning, Chef Demonstrations are accompanied by Vintner Presentations. Guest chefs will take turns preparing signature specialties. Vintners will present their selections, which are carefully paired to complement the individual recipes presented for tasting. The relaxed atmosphere of these sessions, and the intimacy assured by having no more than 125 in the audience, encourages a very singular interaction.

FESTIVAL TASTING ON THE BEACH

One of the highlights of the festival takes place on Friday evening. Our guest chefs will prepare and serve their favorite seafood creations, many of them incorporating the Florida Stone Crab. Vintners pour a selection of their finest offerings from 7p.m. until late into the evening. Guests are encouraged to move between the restaurant and wine stations, situated on our beach and surrounding our swimming pool at the edge of the Gulf, sampling food and wine and returning to taste favorites again and again. The scale of the event encourages discussions with chefs and vintners, for, by this time, all in attendance have started to become good friends. Live music and dancing on the beach assures a uniquely festive evening.

CHEF'S COLLABORATION GALA

The culmination of the festival is a Chefs Gala Collaboration Dinner a seven-course meal, prepared and presented as the combined effort of our guest chefs and The Colony's own award-winning restaurant. Spectacularly planned and served, with each course accompanied by specially selected wines, the evening is uniquely memorable. Guests share glittering tables with winemakers and food and wine press from around the country. Dancing throughout the evening and late into the night creates a fitting conclusion to this memorable culinary event.

Non-package guests are welcomed to join in on the celebration for the Friday & Saturday morning culinary demos, Friday evening's Tasting on the Beach and Saturday evening's Chef's Collaboration Gala.

What to wear? Casual, comfortable clothing for the daytime demonstrations. Resort casual for Thursday's Welcome Reception and Friday night's Tasting on the Beach. Saturday night's dinner is a casually elegant affair.
